Kia expands the K4 range in Europe with the introduction of the Kia K4 Sportswagon, a model designed to combine bold design, advanced technology, and real-world usability. Positioned between the C- and D-segments, the K4 Sportswagon targets drivers who need more space and flexibility without moving to an SUV.

Bold wagon design inspired by ‘Opposites United’

The K4 Sportswagon reinterprets Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy through a longer, more functional silhouette. With a total length of 4,695 mm, the wagon proportions enhance both visual presence and practicality.

Clean horizontal lines emphasize width and stability, while Star Map Signature Lighting and inverted L-shaped LED rear lights give the car a distinctive identity. Design details such as hidden rear door handles, a unique C-pillar graphic, and a sculpted rear balance sportiness with everyday functionality.

The GT-Line variant adds a more dynamic edge, featuring high-gloss black exterior accents, sportier bumpers, and a refined interior with exclusive colors and materials.

High-tech interior focused on comfort

Inside, the K4 Sportswagon adopts a tech-forward cabin layout with a wide panoramic display integrating:

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 5.3-inch climate control display
  • 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen

Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come as standard, while higher trims offer a wireless phone charger, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Harman Kardon® premium audio system.

With Digital Key 2.0, compatible smartphones can be used as virtual keys. Kia Connect services add over-the-air updates, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, streaming apps, and an AI voice assistant activated with “Hey Kia”.

Designed for daily life

Practicality is a core strength of the K4 Sportswagon. The luggage compartment offers up to 604 litres of cargo space—166 litres more than the hatchback—placing it among upper-segment wagons.

A 2,720 mm wheelbase ensures generous rear legroom, making the car well suited for families, long journeys, and active lifestyles. A wagon-exclusive power tailgate adds hands-free convenience when loading or unloading.

Advanced safety and driver assistance

The K4 Sportswagon features a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including:

  • Blind-Spot View Monitor and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Highway Driving Assist 2.0 and Smart Cruise Control 2
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Surround View Monitor with 360° camera

These systems work together to enhance safety and confidence in daily driving.

Powertrains ready for electrification

The K4 Sportswagon is available with a range of petrol and electrified powertrains:

  • 1.0 T-GDI petrol (115 PS) with manual transmission
  • 1.0 T-GDI mild hybrid with available dual-clutch automatic
  • 1.6 T-GDI petrol with dual-clutch automatic (150 or 180 PS)

A full hybrid version is planned for late 2026, supporting Kia’s transition toward electrification.

Built in Mexico for global markets

The Kia K4 is produced at Kia Mexico in Pesquería, Nuevo León. Since opening in 2016, the plant has become a key part of Kia’s global manufacturing network, combining advanced automation with sustainability-focused processes.

Final thoughts

The Kia K4 Sportswagon delivers a rare combination of bold design, generous space, smart technology, and future-ready powertrains. It stands out as a compelling alternative for drivers who want the practicality of a wagon without sacrificing style or innovation.
