Bentley Batur Convertible #4: the art of bespoke curation
The most highly curated Bentley Batur Convertible to date has been completed by Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding division. Known as Batur Convertible #4, this one-off commission represents a refined balance of luxury, craftsmanship and personal expression, created for collector Sonia Breslow.
A personal vision shaped by Mulliner
Designed as a “forever car,” Batur Convertible #4 reflects a meticulous approach to colour, material and detail. The exterior adopts a tri-tone paint scheme, highlighted by a 6 mm gloss-silver fine line accentuating the car’s signature endless bonnet design.
A bespoke shade, Breslow Blue, has been colour-matched to the roof canvas — the first custom-coloured roof of its kind on a Batur Convertible. When stowed, it reveals the Airbridge finished in the same colour, reinforcing visual continuity. Further detailing includes Midnight Breslow Blue pinstriping, coordinated wheel and mirror accents, polished titanium exhaust finishers and bright silver grilles.
Interior craftsmanship and personal details
Inside, the cabin blends warm autumnal tones with light blue accents, drawing the exterior colour theme directly into the interior. Contrast stitching extends across the tonneau, seats, headrests and instrument panel, while subtle references to Mount Batur appear in the deep-pile floor mats.
A standout feature is the animated welcome lamp, which projects the owner’s handwritten name using over 415,000 microscopic mirrors, creating a uniquely personal greeting.
The fascia takes inspiration from early Bentleys with a bright aluminium engine spin finish. The Bentley Rotating Display features bespoke gauge colours, while the satin blue clock face complements the overall palette.
For the first time, Bentley introduces three-dimensional printed platinum elements. The steering wheel top-dead-centre marker and organ stops are crafted from this precious metal, underlining both exclusivity and innovation.
Performance worthy of a flagship
Despite its bespoke focus, the Batur Convertible retains Bentley’s most powerful W12 configuration: a 740 bhp, hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine, delivering grand touring performance aligned with Mulliner’s flagship status.
Final take
Bentley Batur Convertible #4 is a masterclass in bespoke collaboration — blending heritage, innovation and personal expression into one of the most distinctive modern coachbuilt Bentleys ever created.
