SMART Reinvents the City Car with the Concept #2

smart has officially revealed the Concept #2 during its Global Brand Event 2026 in Beijing, previewing the rebirth of the brand’s iconic two-seater for the electric era.

Designed by the Mercedes-Benz Global Design Team, the Concept #2 introduces a fresh interpretation of urban mobility through compact proportions, futuristic detailing, premium materials, and advanced EV technology. Built on smart’s new Electric Compact Architecture (ECA), the upcoming production model promises nearly 300 km of electric range, ultra-fast charging, and exceptional city maneuverability with a turning circle of just 6.95 meters.

Alongside the Concept #2, smart also premiered the new #6 EHD fastback sedan, expanding the brand’s global EV lineup and signaling aggressive growth into new segments.

The production version of the smart #2 is expected to debut officially at the Paris Motor Show later this year.
