Kia Vision Meta Turismo: A Grand Touring Concept for the Digital Era
Kia has officially revealed the Vision Meta Turismo concept during Milan Design Week, presenting a futuristic interpretation of electric grand touring that merges emotional driving, immersive digital technology, and lounge-inspired comfort.
Created under Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the Vision Meta Turismo combines low-slung GT proportions with futuristic geometric surfacing, ultra-thin lighting elements, and a dramatic glass canopy structure inspired by aviation and advanced digital architecture.
The concept pays tribute to the elegance and freedom of 1960s long-distance touring cars while introducing a completely new type of user interaction. Inside, Kia imagines a mobility experience where augmented reality, gaming-inspired controls, haptic feedback systems, and immersive digital environments become part of the emotional connection between driver and machine.
One of the most interesting elements is the adaptive digital cockpit, featuring three unique driving experience modes:
• Speedster Mode — focused on performance driving immersion
• Dreamer Mode — built around augmented reality experiences in urban environments
• Gamer Mode — transforming the vehicle into an interactive entertainment space while parked
The steering wheel itself takes inspiration from gaming controllers, while virtual gear shifting, synthetic engine sensations, and customizable driving responses aim to preserve emotional engagement in the EV era.
Visually, the Vision Meta Turismo feels more like a rolling concept sculpture than a traditional vehicle. Jet-inspired design details, cab-forward architecture, floating body elements, and a dramatic aerodynamic tail all reinforce Kia’s increasingly bold design direction.
The Vision Meta Turismo is currently being displayed in Milan alongside Kia’s latest EV concepts as the brand continues exploring the future relationship between mobility, technology, and human experience.
