2027 BMW 7 Series Revealed | Neue Klasse Technology Meets Luxury Innovation
BMW has officially unveiled the all-new 2027 BMW 7 Series, introducing one of the most important technological updates in the history of the brand’s flagship sedan. Combining advanced Neue Klasse technologies, next-generation digital systems, electrified powertrains, and a redesigned luxury-focused interior, the new 7 Series represents BMW’s vision for premium mobility moving into the next decade.
The redesigned exterior introduces a cleaner and more monolithic design language, highlighted by a new illuminated kidney grille, ultra-slim crystal headlights, revised proportions, and refined aerodynamic surfaces. BMW’s latest luxury sedan also debuts updated lighting animations and a new ceremonial light carpet system that enhances the arrival and departure experience.
Inside, the 2027 7 Series receives one of the largest technological transformations ever applied to a BMW production model. The cabin now integrates BMW Panoramic iDrive with BMW Operating System X, a panoramic windshield display system, a new floating central display, and an all-new BMW Passenger Screen for front-seat entertainment. Rear-seat passengers continue to benefit from the massive BMW Theater Screen with 8K streaming capability, Dolby Atmos support, gaming functionality, and integrated Zoom video calls.
BMW is also significantly expanding electrification within the lineup. The fully electric BMW i7 now features sixth-generation BMW eDrive cylindrical battery technology, improving both efficiency and charging performance. The new i7 60 xDrive delivers more than 350 miles of range while supporting charging rates up to 250 kW. Meanwhile, updated combustion-powered 740 and 740 xDrive variants continue to offer inline-six performance with enhanced efficiency and refinement.
Additional highlights include adaptive suspension technology, advanced Level 2 driver assistance systems, upgraded ambient lighting, BMW Digital Premium services, and extensive personalization options ranging from BMW Individual interiors to dual-finish paintwork developed exclusively for the 7 Series.
With production beginning in July 2026 at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, the new 2027 BMW 7 Series positions itself as BMW’s most advanced luxury sedan ever created.
