DENZA D9 DM-i: Hybrid MPV Engineering, 590-Mile Range and First-Class Mobility
The DENZA D9 DM-i represents a new benchmark in premium mobility, where hybrid engineering, intelligent systems, and passenger-centric design converge into a single platform. Backed by advanced electrification, the D9 is not just an MPV—it is a redefinition of long-distance comfort and operational flexibility.
At the core of the D9 lies BYD’s Super Hybrid DM-i system, combining a 1.5L turbocharged engine with dual electric motors to produce a total output of 353 PS. This architecture allows the vehicle to operate in pure electric mode for up to 130 miles, while extending total range to approximately 590 miles when combining battery and fuel capacity.
What differentiates the D9 from conventional hybrid systems is its intelligent energy management. The system continuously optimizes between EV and HEV modes, dynamically adapting to driving conditions to maximize efficiency without driver intervention. This results in seamless transitions between power sources, delivering both performance and energy efficiency in real time.
Charging innovation is another defining factor. With BYD’s FLASH Charging technology, the 58.5 kWh Blade Battery can recharge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes under optimal conditions, significantly reducing downtime and enabling practical electrification even for long-distance travel.
Inside, the D9 is engineered around passenger experience. A flexible seven-seat layout, “zero-gravity” second-row seats, integrated climate-controlled storage, and a Devialet 16-speaker audio system create an environment closer to first-class air travel than traditional automotive interiors.
The DENZA D9 is not simply a vehicle—it is a platform designed to integrate performance, efficiency, and comfort into a unified mobility solution.
