BYD SEAL 2026: Enhanced Design, Advanced Tech and High-Performance EV Evolution
The 2026 BYD SEAL introduces a refined evolution of design, technology, and performance, reinforcing its position as a competitive electric sedan in the global EV market.
Visually, the SEAL adopts subtle yet effective updates. New 19-inch wheels improve stance, while additional exterior colours – Ruby Red, Obsidian Black, and Lavender Grey – enhance customization. The rear design is now cleaner, with a more prominent BYD badge placement.
Inside, the cabin becomes more minimalist and refined. Nappa leather seats remain, but branding elements have been removed for a cleaner aesthetic. Practicality also improves significantly, with boot capacity increasing to 485 litres and front storage expanding to 72 litres.
Technology upgrades focus on safety and usability. A new Driver Monitoring System aligns with stricter safety regulations, while a Bluetooth key enables smartphone-based vehicle access. The SEAL continues to offer premium features such as a 15.6” rotating touchscreen, Dynaudio sound system, and wireless charging.
Performance remains a strong pillar. The Excellence trim delivers 523bhp with dual-motor AWD and a 0–62 mph time of 3.8 seconds, while the Design trim offers 308bhp with rear-wheel drive. Both variants are powered by BYD’s Blade Battery (LFP), delivering up to 354 miles of WLTP range and fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 37 minutes.
The 2026 update highlights BYD’s strategy: continuous product refinement, strong battery technology, and competitive positioning in the global EV segment.
