BMW has announced a wide range of updates arriving from early 2026, spanning electric efficiency improvements, new performance trims, brand identity changes, and multiple industry awards.

From March 2026, the BMW iX1 and BMW iX2 will benefit from silicon-carbide (SiC) inverter technology, improving efficiency and reducing energy consumption. As a result, the BMW iX1 eDrive20 will deliver up to 318 miles (WLTP) of range, while xDrive30 variants achieve up to 288 miles. BMW iX2 models mirror these gains, reaching up to 318 miles in eDrive20 form.

Spring 2026 also introduces new standalone M Sport Pro models for BMW 2, 3 and 4 Series vehicles. These versions elevate standard equipment with 19-inch M Sport wheels, red brake calipers, Adaptive LED headlights, and darkened exterior detailing. Orders open nationwide, with first deliveries scheduled for April 2026.

From February 2026 production, all BMW models will adopt a new BMW roundel, first seen on the BMW iX3, alongside a revised BMW M logo.

BMW also celebrated major success at the 2026 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards, where the BMW i7 was crowned overall Car of the Year and Chauffeur Car of the Year, while the BMW 550e xDrive secured Executive Car of the Year honors.

Further recognition followed at the 2026 Company Car and Van Awards, where BMW and MINI were named Fleet Manufacturer of the Year for the second consecutive year, and the updated BMW iX claimed Premium Car of the Year.

Rounding out the update, BMW UK has added six new BMW M5 models in BMW Individual paint finishes to its press fleet, showcasing exclusive colours inspired by the brand’s heritage and motorsport legacy.
